Toscotec to supply Turkey's biggest tissue machine to Essel Kağıt on a turnkey basis
Essel Kağıt (Essel Selüloz ve Kağıt Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş.) selected Toscotec for the turnkey supply of a new high-performance tissue line, PM3, at its Osmaniye mill in Southern Turkey. The investment represents an important step in Essel's strategy to strengthen its production capacity and technology infrastructure.
With a net trim width of 5,700 mm, Toscotec's AHEAD 2.2L line is designed as one of the most significant tissue machine investments in Turkey. Its high daily production capacity supports Essel's ability to serve both local and export markets with consistent quality.
The new line includes advanced components such as a hydraulic TT Headbox ML-T, a third-generation TT SYD steel Yankee dryer, TT NextPress shoe press technology and high-recovery gas-fired TT Hoods suitable for cogeneration upgrades.
The turnkey scope includes the complete stock preparation system, Toscotec's patented Short Approach Flow TT SAF, electrification and controls, dust and mist removal systems, an online shaft puller and two OPTIMA slitter rewinders. The configuration is designed to support both reel quality and production efficiency.
Toscotec's service package, including engineering, erection supervision, commissioning, start-up, training and remote support, completes the project. With this investment, Essel strengthens its manufacturing scale through both machinery and integrated technical know-how.
